37003 'OO' Gauge Limited Edition Collectors Model

The Class 37 Locomotive Group in conjunction with Bachmann is pleased to announce a Limited Edition collectors' model of 37003 in BR Corporate Blue livery (Bachmann Model number 32-775Z).

The model will incorporate the very latest Bachmann 37/0 chassis, with the following features:

21-pin DCC Decoder socket
Full Directional Lighting and Cab interior lights.
Switchable Head Code panels. All models will be supplied with two sets of Head Code panels, one set of dominoes (black background with white dots) and one displaying the headcode 1E33. This allows users to portray the loco operating from the 1970s to the early 1980s, before the buffer beam cowling was removed.
Revised BR Blue Livery (as applied to the model of 37254)
Etched Radiator Fan grilles (roof)
Full front end wire handrails, plus wire handrails for cab doors

This makes the model the best representation of a split head code 37/0 to date.

Demand for this model is high, and due to the costs involved we will require a fully refundable* £40 deposit per item to be paid on placement of an order.

Only 512 models will be produced, and availability will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Unfortunately, since we placed the order with Bachmann, the value of sterling has continued to fall sharply, while the cost of labour and raw materials in China has risen markedly. This means that we sadly have no choice but to pass on most (though not all) of the increase in cost for our limited edition model of 37003 for new orders.
Fortunately we have been able to limit the increase to a new price of £84.95 & £4.00 Recorded Post and Packing. Delivery expected in November/December 2010. One month before the models are shipped a notification that the final payment of £48.95 is due, will be sent to you, which must be paid in full before your order is dispatched. .

All proceeds from the model will go towards the restoration of 37 003 to mainline standards. 37 003 is currently undergoing maintenance at the Mid-Norfolk Railway in Dereham, Norfolk.
