This Privacy and Cookie Policy explains how the Class 37 Locomotive Group uses personal information we collect and how you can limit our use of that personal data. The Class 37 Locomotive Group is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. If we ask you to provide information by which you can be identified when using this website, or via one of our Membership forms, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

We take the privacy of our Members, Customers and Visitors to our Website (you) very seriously. Please read this privacy policy (Policy) carefully as it contains important information about how your personal data will be used.
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation and all other relevant legislation, The Class 37 Locomotive Group (‘we’ or ‘us’) is the ‘data controller’ (i.e. the Organisation who is responsible for, and controls the processing of, your personal data).

Personal information about you (such as your name, address, and email address) will be obtained, whenever you complete forms, or make a purchase from us.
We will also obtain personal information you provide when you send feedback, contact us for any reason and by any medium, sign up to an additional members service (BYOT, Members Forum), or report a problem with the Website.
We may retain a record of any contact you make with us for an appropriate time to allow us to respond to, and/or action your request

HOW YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL BE USED

We will use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • help identify you as a Member of the Class 37 Locomotive Group;
  • administration of your Membership, and fulfilment of any additional membership services signed up for;
  • administration of your Membership Renewal at its due date
  • billing and order fulfilment for purchases made, whether through the Website, our ebay shop, or via our sales stand, for example;

HOW LONG WE STORE YOUR DATA

We will store your data for as long as necessary for the purpose of processing the services you have subscribed from us, or fulfilling any goods purchased from us. The data may be deleted in the following circumstances:

  • You have ceased to be a Member of the Class 37 Locomotive Group
  • You have ceased to subscribe to the Members BYOT scheme
  • You have ceased to subscribe to the Members Forum
  • We have completely fulfilled your purchase with us, and the period of time applicable to our returns policy has been exceeded

CHILDREN

The Class 37 Locomotive Group offers Memberships to individuals aged 16 and under. If you are aged 16 or under, please get your parent/guardian’s permission before you provide any personal information to us. In subscribing to our services, you confirm that you have read and consented to this Policy and verify that you are over the age of 16 or have received the permission of a parent or guardian to do so.

YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679

  • You have the right of access to your personal records or other information that we hold about you.
  • You have the right to rectify any errors in the data we hold about you. If any data or information we hold about you is inaccurate, or out of date, please contact us and we will correct this immediately.
  • You have the right to have the data we hold about you erased.
  • If you wish us to continue to store your information but wish us to keep your data separate and not process it in any way, please let us know.
  • You have the right to data portability. If you wish to obtain your data for your own purposes across different services, we will provide this information to you in a CSV file.

We do not sell, distribute or lease any personal information to third parties, unless we have your permission and are required by law to do so.
