This programme looks at the British Rail era of the mid 1980s through to the early 1990s, this time concentrating on South Wales.
Newport East - we follow class 56s, 60s, 37s, DMUs and HST just over the river bridge next to Maindee Junc. on the 17 June 1993. Steel, ore and coal workings dominate our now historic scenes.

Central Wales Steel diversions - pairs of class 56s and class 37s at Sugar Loaf and around Llandovery in April 1997. Plenty of thrash here! Undy/Severn Tunnel Junction - Class 20, 33, 37, 47, 56, HST and DMUs all feature at this busy freight and passenger location.
West of Cardiff - Radyr,Aberthaw and around Peterston-Super-Ely with 50s, 56s, 37s, HSTs, DMUs and 47s on coal steel and passenger. Cardiff Station and Pengam - the class 37 theme continues with yet more of the locos in action around the station and then at Pengam just to the east of the city. Cardiff to Newport line revisited - class 59s enter the fray on Iron Ore workings as well as class 58, 60, 47, 33 and 37s: class 158s and HSTs are also added to the mix.
