Church Fenton: 1986 material in which we feature classes 20, 31, 37, 43, 45, 47 and 56 on a number of passenger and freight turns. Look out for the BR breakvans being used on some of the freight services! Cornish DMUs: A look at multiple unit activity on the branch lines to Newquay and Falmouth as well as the china clay lines at Parkandillack and the freight-only Fowey branch. Classes 117 and 142 feature. Reading: Mainline activity at this gateway to London; plenty of blue & large-logo liveries to be seen including HST, 31, 45, 47 & 50 from January 1986. We also visit in the early 1990s in the Network Southeast era with class 47s in NSE livery and class 37, 56 and 60 in trainload freight colours as well as ARC and Yeoman liveried 59s. Lincoln: Semaphore signals abound as a Cravens DMU in BR blue is one of three types of DMU to be seen. We also see BR blue 31293 on a speedlink freight, 47214 on oil and an 08 on a local trip working. Carlisle: On 3rd May 1985, the BR scene was still the corporate blue - with some amazing scenes we see 81s and 85s on Mk 1 passenger stock, 86/0 and 86/3s, blue 87s on steel coil trains, the APT on test, class 37s, pairs of 25s on oil trains, class 26, class 27 on passenger stock and loads more in this classic footage straight from the archive!
