Great Eastern Transport Films	CLASS 101 Sherringham to Norfolk & Lowestoft to No

Description from Great Eastern Transport Films

Steve Kinch was a keen DMU fan and spent many hours filming Units on the East Anglian branch lines between 1986 and 1993.

This DVD is a small part of his work taking in the Sheringham to Norwich and Lowestoft to Norwich Lines.

2 and 3 car class 101's are seen plus 3 loco hauled sequences.

The 3 car sets carried aerials for RETB use on the East Suffolk line between Lowestoft and Ipswich, this route will be the subject of a Future DVD.

There are several single line sections on the Sheringham branch and when filmed between 1989 and 1991 manual crossing gates and semaphore signals were still in use. You will see drivers and signalmen exchanging single line tokens. The line was modernised several years ago while the Wherry lines from Norwich to Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth are currently undergoing Modernisation.

Due to the nature of train workings some DMU's are seen more than once on a particular date and on different days.

Running time approx 68 minutes
